Dear Parent(s),
Welcome to another school year! School Social Work activities and services focus on helping children experience healthy growth for future success. Every Troy elementary school houses a team of experts - special education teachers, speech/language therapists, social workers, reading/bilingual specialists, and psychologists - to help identify students' difficulties, to consult with parents and teachers about your child's special needs, and to help your student succeed.
School Social Work services are supplemental services and are not meant to replace therapy and are in no way a substitution for psychiatric or therapeutic services.
Working together is the key to your child's success. I am looking forward to another fun and rewarding school year!

"There is a set of social skills that children need to learn and practice in order to be successful. They form the acronym CARES- cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy, self control."
